I’m Cameron, the photographer behind Second City Headshots. I create professional headshots and portraits that capture genuine expression and confidence. Sessions are relaxed and guided so you feel comfortable and leave with images you are proud to share.
From Sports to Photography
I first picked up a camera to stay connected to sports. Shooting hockey, marathons, and MMA taught me timing, patience, and how to capture real moments as they happen. Those lessons shape how I work with clients. I adapt quickly, read the situation, and help people feel at ease so we can create natural and confident headshots together.
Training and Mentorship
In college I studied under a professor who lived and trained with Ansel Adams. I like to say I trained second hand from Ansel. I also studied headshots in college and learned about Peter Hurley, who is considered the best in the world. Later I had the chance to train directly with him, and now I even play fantasy football with him. That mix of mentorship and experience gives me the knowledge to guide clients with confidence and capture natural, genuine expressions.
Beyond the Camera
When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me on the ice playing hockey, out snowboarding, or at home playing video games. I also enjoy picking up my guitar. These hobbies keep me balanced and inspired, and that energy carries into every session.
