Where I work
TL;DR: The Short Answer
I photograph corporate teams in Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, and Indianapolis, and I travel to each one. I come to your office, set up in a conference room or spare space, and your team gets photographed without leaving the building. Travel costs the same in all five cities, so distance does not change your price. If your company has people in more than one of these places, I can plan it as one project so the photos match. If you are not in one of these cities, reach out anyway and we can talk about it.
Where I Work Now
For a long time, most of my corporate headshot work happened in one city. That has changed.
Today I photograph teams in five: Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, and Indianapolis. Nobody comes to me. I come to you.
How Does It Actually Work?
Everything I need for a team day travels with me. I set up in a conference room, a spare office, or whatever open space you have.
Your people walk down the hall, get their photos taken, and go back to work. Nobody has to leave the building or rearrange their whole day.
Does Travel Change The Price?
No. Travel is the same in all five cities, and I set it up that way on purpose.
A company in Grand Rapids should not pay a different travel cost than a company in Detroit just because of where they sit on the map. You should not have to hire whoever happens to be nearby just to avoid a travel fee.
What If My Team Is Spread Across More Than One City?
This is where it gets useful.
More companies have people in more than one place now. If yours has offices in a couple of these cities, I can plan them as one project. Same photographer, same approach, same look.
That way the photos match across locations instead of looking like they came from different people.
Is This The Right Fit For Every Team?
Not always. If you have one small office and a great photographer down the street, hire them. Local is a perfectly good answer for that.
This is built for teams that want the whole group handled in a day, or for companies spread across more than one city.
What To Ask Before Hiring A Photographer Who Travels
Is travel included in the quote, or added later?
What space do you need from us?
If we have more than one office, will the photos match?
When will each person see their photos?
The answers tell you a lot about how organized the photographer is. Travel should not be a surprise on the invoice.
Not In One Of These Cities?
Reach out anyway and we can talk about it. I would rather have the conversation than assume it does not work.
